Jakarta - Radiasi yang timbul karena pemakaian ponsel kerapkali dituding sebagai penyebab berbagai masalah kesehatan. Bahkan beberapa penelitian menyatakan, radiasi ponsel bisa mengakibatkan penyakit serius semacam kanker atau gangguan otak tertentu. Meskipun ada juga penelitian yang membantah hal tersebut.
Untuk meminimalisir bahaya yang mungkin terjadi karena pengaruh radiasi ponsel, berikut tips jitunya seperti diramu detikINET dari EMF-Health, Jumat (15/2/2008).
1. Batasi pemakaian ponsel hanya pada panggilan yang penting-penting saja dan bicaralah dengan singkat. Ingatlah bahwa pembicaraan via ponsel yang terlalu lama, apalagi sampai berjam-jam disinyalir mempunyai beberapa dampak buruk terhadap kesehatan. Namun jika Anda memang harus melakukan panggilan yang lama, disarankan untuk memakai handsfree untuk keamanan.
2. Anak-anak di bawah umur seharusnya hanya diperbolehkan memakai ponsel dalam keadaan darurat saja. Mengingat mereka masih dalam tahap perkembangan, bahaya radiasi bisa bertambah parah.
3. Jika memakai ponsel tanpa handsfree, tunggulah sampai panggilan benar-benar terkoneksi sebelum menaruh ponsel di telinga untuk melakukan pembicaraan.
4. Minimalisir pemakaian ponsel di ruang tertutup dengan bahan logam atau baja, misalnya di dalam mobil. Dalam ruangan seperti ini, ponsel harus bekerja keras menstabilkan koneksi sehingga radiasi meninggi. Selain itu, ada kemungkinan radiasi memantul kembali ke pengguna di ruangan yang didominasi bahan baja.
5. Minimalisir penggunaan ponsel ketika kekuatan sinyal hanya satu bar atau kurang. Dalam kondisi ini, ponsel juga harus bekerja keras untuk menstabilkan koneksi sehingga radiasi bertambah besar.
6. Belilah ponsel dengan level SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) yang rendah. Level SAR adalah ukuran kuantitas frekuensi radio yang diserap tubuh manusia. Semakin rendah level-nya, semakin baik untuk meminimalisir radiasi. Anda bisa mendapat informasi mengenai SAR ini di buku panduan atau surfing di internet.

2. Apabila Anda menyuruh teman Anda di tempat lain dg nomor IP berbeda dg Anda, maka mungkin kalau satu kali klik tidak apa-apa, tapi akan ketahuan begitu IP yg sama mengklik Adsense Anda setiap hari.
3. Umumnya persentase iklan yg diklik berkisar antara 1 sampai 10% dari jumlah pengunjung blog. Contohnya, apabila tamu blog dalam sehari ada 20 orang, maka paling banyak yg klik 2 (dua) pengunjung.
Dengan demikian, semakin besar pengunjung semakin besar yg ngeklik. Jadi, daripada pakai cara ilegal, mending usahakan untuk menambah pengunjung blog dg cara rajin posting dan promosi blog.

Jakarta - Saat berkendara, helm merupakan perlengkapan yang wajib dikenakan oleh para pengendara sepeda motor. Pasalnya, helm diklaim dapat menjadi pelindung atau pengaman kepala, terutama jika terjadi kecelakaan.
Kini ada sebuah helm nyentrik yang tak hanya melindungi kepala dari benturan saat terjadi kecelakaan, tapi juga dilengkapi dengan alarm dan GPS yang akan membuat panggilan ke 911 saat terjadi kecelakaan. Helm besutan Brycen Spencer, mahasiswa UMass Amherst tersebut diberi nama Wireless Impact Guardian (WIG).
Jika pengendara jatuh, dan kepalanya terbentur, helm ini akan segera tanggap, lalu alarmnya akan meraung selama beberapa menit. Jika dalam waktu 60 detik pengendara tidak mematikan alarm tersebut karena tak sadarkan diri, helm WIG akan segera mengirimkan panggilan darurat ke 911 untuk minta pertolongan.
Seperti dikutip detikINET dari Engadget, Selasa (12/2/2008), helm tersebut juga dilengkapi dengan GPS, yang akan mengirimkan panduan lokasi tempat si pengendara mengalami kecelakaan. Dengan demikian petugas penyelamat pun bisa segera menuju lokasi kejadian untuk menolong pengendara tersebut.
Sayangnya belum dapat dipastikan apakah helm tersebut akan dijual ke pasaran. Yang pasti, Spencer telah mematenkan penemuannya tersebut ( wsh / wsh )

Speed Up Your Connection In Windows XP
By default, the packet scheduler limits the system to 20% of the bandwidth of a connection, to increase bandwidth :
1-Open Run dialog box from Start menu.
2- Type “gpedit.msc” and press Ok.
3- When Group Policy run, go to Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > Qos Packet Schedule
4- in right side, right click on Limit reseivable bandwidth and select Properties.
5- In Setting tab under Limit reservable bandwidth section select Enabeled .
6- instead of 20 type 0 (zero) and then click ok, and close Group Policy.
7- Now , go to Network connection and right click on your connection and select Properties.
8- Go to Networking tab and cheek Qos Packet Scheduler to be ticked.
9- Restart your PC.
yeah! you got the high speed connection now..

I've tried this on both Windows XP and Windows 2000, and it has worked.

3. Type in "command" and hit ok
You should now be at an MSDOS prompt screen.
4. Type "ipconfig /release" just like that, and hit "enter"
5. Type "exit" and leave the prompt
6. Right-click on "Network Places" or "My Network Places" on your desktop.
7. Click on "properties"
You should now be on a screen with something titled "Local Area Connection", or something close to that, and, if you have a network hooked up, all of your other networks.
8. Right click on "Local Area Connection" and click "properties"
9. Double-click on the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" from the list under the "General" tab
10. Click on "Use the following IP address" under the "General" tab
11. Create an IP address (It doesn't matter what it is. I just type 1 and 2 until i fill the area up).
12. Press "Tab" and it should automatically fill in the "Subnet Mask" section with default numbers.
13. Hit the "Ok" button here
14. Hit the "Ok" button again
You should now be back to the "Local Area Connection" screen.[/b]
15. Right-click back on "Local Area Connection" and go to properties again.
16. Go back to the "TCP/IP" settings
17. This time, select "Obtain an IP address automatically"
18. Hit "Ok"
19. Hit "Ok" again
20. You now have a new IP address
With a little practice, you can easily get this process down to 15 seconds.

This only changes your dynamic IP address, not your ISP/IP address.
